2012 IBAA Convention Tournament

We were so pleased to attend the 2012 IBAA Convention Tournament again. It is always great to see friendly faces and meet some new ones as well. As the groups passed through, we took the opportunity to get a few pictures.

The Dominion crew (Al Hanks, Chris Sayer and guests above) first on the tee with the rising morning sun in the background at the beautiful Elbow Springs Golf Course just west of Calgary Alberta.

Rick Orr, Ontario Broker’s Association president and his crew took a crack at the Hole In One prize sponsored by OneNwon Inc. All had great shot, but failed to net an Ace.

New IBAA president, Scott Treasures, had his foursome out. Including IBAA Vice president, Gord Enders and Jean-François Blais, President of Intact Insurance.

Hole In One Presentation

Shown above is the presentation of $5,000 to Braden Nehring and below the $5,000 to the Armand Comeau Bursary for Braden’s hole in one at the 33^rd Randy Goulet Memorial golf tournament in Jasper. The presentation took place at the Derrick Golf and Winter Club in Edmonton, Alberta.

Our first 2011 Winner!

While attending the 33rd Annual Randy Goulet Memorial at JPL, Braden Nehring dropped one in the cup in one shot. Nehring, member of the Derrick Club in Edmonton, hit a 4 iron to make his hole in one on the 4th hole 220 yards. The story was featured in the Edmonton Journal and can be acessed below. Jasper Brokers Convention 2011

We would like to thank everyone that stopped and took time to chat with us on Hole #9 on Sunday’s tournament. A special shout out to Tracey Burns and Dave Howe who took home the KP, closest to the pin, prizes for ladies and men’s respectively. Despite some potential unwanted guests. Makes for a tough putt when you are watching for bears!

Luke Donald World Golf Ranked #1

With the 2011 BMW PGA Championship win, Luke is the official World Golf number 1 golfer. Wonder if he will be able to maintain this ranking by continuing to play the high caliber he has shown lately?
